ABOUT US
The Locanda di Codera is an alpine refuge located at 825 meters in Val Codera, above Novate Mezzola, accessible only on foot, along about 2,500 steps of a mule track, with no paved roads.
Codera is a small stone village, surrounded by granite walls, located in Valchiavenna, a few kilometers from Lake Como but off its most beaten paths. Over the years many houses have remained empty, but some families still live there all year round.
The Locanda is a family-run business, mother and daughter, who live in the valley all year round. It remains open for as much of the year as possible and collaborates with the residents and producers of the valley. This is a concrete contribution to the economy and life of a village.

Every path that leads here - or starts from here - offers views over the valley, the silence of the woods, and the satisfaction of those who walk without haste. The Inn is your point of departure and arrival. For those who cannot walk, helicopter transfer is also available on request.
